The Classic Ball and Ultimate Training Ball use the same natural EVA foam balls, however they are equipped with different straps.
The Ultimate Training Ball uses a 5/8” Super Grip Biothane strap. This strap has a bumpy texture that increases grip.
The Classic Ball uses a 5/8” standard Biothane strap that has a non-bumpy leather like feel.
Every dog and owner has their own preferences based on how they play and the size of their doggo.
To make it easier for you, we suggest comparing our balls to the ones you currently use. Our 2.75" ball is similar to a tennis ball, while our 3.5" ball is slightly smaller than a softball.

K9 Achilles absolutely loves his foam ball. The material is durable and at the same time light, which makes a perfect play time toy for off duty. If you have a crazy pup who can never seem to burn enough energy, this is the toy for you. I will be purchasing a couple extras to keep on hand at all times.

My BM/GSD and (weirdly athletic) French Bulldog count down the hours until it's time to go to the park to play tug-of-war and fetch with their foam dog balls. They're obsessed. We have every ball and toy known to man, and this is their favorite by far. I'm not entirely sure why lol, but it's like dog crack to them. The handle is so sturdy (we only get the ultimate), and although they do lay down and chew on their balls when they get tired of playing fetch, the balls themselves have never been destroyed to the point of altering the game of tug or fetch. Tip: We keep the foam balls in the sack they come in and place them in a small backpack we take to the park to keep the backpack from getting too dirty or smelly. I don't think they advertise this, but you can also throw them in a washer machine. My only complaint is that they are not sold everywhere. I wish I could run to my local pet store and pick up a replacement when needed. My husband accidentally threw ours in a tree recently, and my poor dogs had to wait for us to order new ones and then wait for them to ship!
