The Custom Ball and Ultimate Training Ball use the same natural EVA foam balls, however they are equipped with different straps.
The Ultimate Training Ball uses a 5/8” Super Grip Biothane strap. This strap has a bumpy texture that increases grip and only comes in black.
The Custom Ball uses a 5/8” standard biothane strap that has a non-bumpy leather like feel. This Custom Ball is available in various colors.
Every dog and owner has their own preferences based on how they play and the size of their doggo.
To make it easier for you, we suggest comparing our balls to the ones you currently use. Our 2.75" ball is similar to a tennis ball, while our 3.5" ball is slightly smaller than a softball.

I got a 2.75” for my medium sized dog and a 3.5” for my shepherd and they both LOVE them! They’re great just for in the field or when we go to the lake. I wish I would’ve found them earlier maybe I could’ve saved my ball crazy shepherds teeth!!

It’s hard to find a good training ball that he can’t swallow, rip to shreds in a few training sessions, or is ridiculously heavy. My GSD (Bohdi) loves his training ball.

So far so good! It’s a little on the lighter side and I prefer a little heavier of a ball to be able to throw further but I sure do love that strap. My dog doesn’t know “drop it” yet so having to pull that drooly tennis ball out of her mouth was not only difficult but gross. It’s also nice not to worry about choking.
